The ASUS B850M MAX GAMING WIFI (90MB1LL0-M0EAY0) is a micro ATX motherboard built around the AMD B850 chipset and Socket AM5 platform. Designed for gaming and enthusiast PC systems, it supports compatible AMD Ryzen 7000, Ryzen 8000 and Ryzen 9000 Series processors, with capacity for one processor. Its 24.4 cm by 24.4 cm micro ATX format provides a compact foundation for compatible systems while offering DDR5 memory, PCIe expansion, M.2 and SATA storage, wired and wireless networking, onboard display connectivity when used with a suitable CPU, and 8-channel high-definition audio.
Four 288-pin DIMM slots provide support for as much as 256 GB of DDR5 memory. Supported memory can operate at up to 8000 MT/s when overclocked, and the board uses a dual-channel memory architecture with AMD EXPO technology and ASUS Enhanced Memory Profile (AEMP). Memory support covers unbuffered modules as well as on-die ECC, non-ECC and ECC memory, giving the platform a broad range of compatible DDR5 configurations.
Expansion capability includes one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot alongside three PCIe 4.0 x16 physical slots operating in x1 mode. Storage expansion is provided through three M.2 sockets and four SATA-600 connections. After delivery, customers should register their product on the manufacturer’s website to activate and manage their warranty. In the event of a fault, support, diagnosis and repair are handled directly by the manufacturer through their official service centres, as they are best placed to provide technical assistance, parts and replacements under their warranty terms.
